The information in this trip details document has been compiled with care and is provided in good faith. It may differ slightly to the one in the brochure. Occasionally our itineraries change as we make improvements that stem from past travellers, comments and our own research. Sometimes it can be a small change like adding an extra meal along the itinerary. Sometimes the change may result in us altering the tour for the coming year. Ultimately, our goal is to provide you with the most rewarding experience. Please note that our brochure is usually released in November each year. If you have booked from the previous brochure you may find there have been some changes to the itinerary.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you view a final copy of your Trip Details a couple of days prior to travel, in case there have been changes that affect your plans.

While it is our intention to adhere to the route described below, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable to make alterations. The itinerary is brief, as we never know exactly where our journey will take us. Due to our style of travel and the regions we visit, travel can be unpredictable. The Trip Details document is a general guide to the tour and region and any mention of specific destinations or wildlife is by no means a guarantee that they will be visited or encountered. Aboard expedition trips visits to research stations depend on final permission.

Additionally, any travel times listed are approximations only and subject to vary due to local circumstances.

1. It is important to note that for landings in Galapagos we use zodiacs/pangas for "wet" or "dry" landings where you might have to wade ashore in shallow water. This will require you to be able to safely navigate the terrain on uneven ground, to lift your leg over the side of a Zodiac/pangas, and stand throughout the landing with no place to sit. Our team is there to assist you if needed but having good mobility is important for your safety and enjoyment. Please also note that the yacht does not have an elevator and thus staircases must be used to move between decks. Additionally, some snorkeling activities will take place in open water and you will need to go up and down small ladders from the panga.

2. G Adventures requires your passport number, full name and date of birth at the time of booking. Please make sure you give this information to your travel agent.

3. Once you have confirmed your booking please give us your international flight details and advise us if you have any important issues such as allergies, special diets, etc.

4. The Ecuadorian government currently levies a Galapagos Islands Park entry fee of $200 USD per person ($100 USD for children under 12 years old). This is payable at the airport upon arrival in the park. It is not included in the cost of the tour, and must be paid in CASH. This fee funds Park maintenance and supervision in Galapagos, as well as ecological study, conservation and infrastructure development in Ecuador's other National Parks. Entry fees and the funds they generate for the National Park System are among measures taken by the Ecuadorian government to protect its natural heritage.

5. The Galapagos National Park authorities have implemented a system of Transit Control Cards at a fee of $20 USD per person. This card is to be purchased online on the website of the Governing Council of the Special Regime of Galapagos in the following link:

This Transit Control Card TCT must be presented at the CGREG counter according to the procedures required, before the departure of your flight. If you have trouble purchasing your TCT through the link, please arrive at the airport at least two/three hours before your flight to purchase it directly at the Galapagos Government Council counter.

We recommend that you start this process at least 24 hours prior to your departure for the Galapagos.

6. Please note that the rooming on our Galapagos yachts is done on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we are not able to guarantee the specific cabin you will receive on board. The cabins are comfortable and clean, all with private bathrooms. Due to the specific location of the cabins on board, the window sizes vary as well as the noise at times when the boat is navigating, given the proximity of the cabin to the engine room. Our friendly and competent crew will ensure the smooth and comfortable journey for the duration of your tour.

7. Please note passengers will be responsible for taking their baggage once they pass through customs, then they will meet the Naturalist guide and take a shuttle bus for 10 minutes in Baltra, then a boat ferry for 10 minutes to Santa Cruz. After this, the passengers will have to pick up their luggage in order to check that all their baggage is there and send it directly to Reina Silvia. Please check that your baggage has the G Adventures Tag. For passengers arriving in Baltra ask the Naturalist guide for the baggage tags. The Naturalist Guide will give all the different instructions to follow.
