Get ready to channel your inner 18th-century explorer and follow the literal wake of the La Vérendrye brothers on an authentic wilderness paddling adventure. Inspired by the voyageurs who once travelled these waterways, this trip celebrates canoeing as it was meant to be: deep in the wild, navigating interconnected lakes, and mastering the art of the portage. After a few nights of camping under the stars and listening to the local loons, you’ll trade the tent for a lakeside hotel to reflect on a truly Canadian experience shaped by exploration, adventure, and the timeless freedom of the canoe.
Hiking, trekking, biking, rafting, and kayaking adventures all over the world, made for outdoor types.
Camping most nights with some hotel/hostel stays to start and throughout; affordable public and private transport.
Some high-altitude hikes or more strenuous activities, but accessible to most healthy travellers.
Group trips average 12 travellers per departure, depending on the adventure. The maximum is usually no more than 16, but some can be smaller or bigger, depending on the trip. Check individual trips for details.
All travellers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Before booking, use our handy entry requirements tool so you know which documents you need to enter and travel through the countries on your trip.
