Spohn Ranch Skateparks Completes Epic New Project in Newport, Rhode Island

The crew at Spohn Ranch Skateparks just wrapped up their beautiful new build in Newport, Rhode Island just in time for those holiday sessions! This project has been a long time coming, so it's great to see it ready to rip. Check the awesome aerial shot they recently posted on Instagram below. This place is a gem!

"That’s a wrap for Newport, Rhode Island! Super fun perimeter loop, mini bowl for the groms, big bowl with pool block in the deep and all the street elements you could ask for," Spohn Ranch wrote on Instagram. Respectfully adding, "Thank you @friendsofnewportskatepark for your years of persistence and dedication. Without folks like you, this dream job would not exist!"

It was a team effort, as projects like this typically are, but that's half the fun. Community building at its finest! And I'll tell you what—the Newport locals are stoked.

So many incredible skateparks have opened up this year and there are so many currently in the works to open early next year. 

That tells me one thing—skateboarding keeps growing bigger year over year! Coast to coast, country to country, there's no shortage of radness to go around. 

And although this might not be the biggest park in the world, that's hardly the point, you know? Every new skatepark should be celebrated, for one. And more importantly, what the crew at Spohn Ranch was able to create with the space they were granted is something to respect and admire. This place looks so much fun!

Well, as if you needed any other reasons to visit a place as beautiful as Newport, Rhode Island, you can add this absolute gem to the list. Hats off to all involved. This place will provide so much stoke for generations to come.
