This Popular MTB Destination Gets Better

All you need to know about this incredible grassroots mountain bike playground opening in Southern...

Southern Oregon is a small yet world-renowned destination for mountain bikers that offers a splendid selection of riding, great food, and excellent weather. But one thing it's been missing is a dedicated bike park with jump lines worthy of the biggest senders. Red Hawk Ridge (RHR) is changing that when it opens in June 2025. Before the opening, RHR will host free Dig & Ride days throughout the month of May for those who want to be part of something incredible and give back to these world-class trails.

Hard work and dedication have been poured into the trails at RHR.

Boasting an awesome jump line that the valley has been desperately missing, this mile-long track packs in 50+ features in the run with shuttle assist back to the top. The main line is designed to facilitate rider growth with ride-arounds for the larger features, and expertly crafted terrain to give riders of all skill levels a ride to remember.

RHR will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM, with shuttle service available on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. To ride, you must be a park member ($10) and purchase either a Shuttle Pass or a Pedal Pass online for one of the available open days. You can also go all in for a Season Pass, which grants access to unlimited shuttle laps on all designated open days throughout the season for $549.00.

With a massive focus on community building and offering the best gravity-fed riding in the valley, RHR will host events, jump jams, and all kinds of community events to heighten the experience for members. Along with shuttles, food, and events, RHR will also have a fleet of bikes available for rent and a B-line for less experienced riders who are just getting a taste for big air.

The next generation of riders is already stoked on RHR.

Southern Oregon has a rich community of mountain bikers, and seeing a bike park like RHR open up with such a dedication to the culture and community is incredible. The reception has been highly positive, and it has already proven that it will be a valuable asset to the community. The park has already held a competition and freestyle jump jam that brought big names like Dylan Stark and Lear Miller to the hill to throw down with the local groms.

Red Hawk Ridge has been in the works for a couple of years now, and with all the permitting and building being finalized, the park is set to open its doors to the members this summer. As a private park, Red Hawk Ridge will only be open to members, allowing it to offer a high-quality riding experience while ensuring its operation can be sustainable and the team can continue to improve trails each year. The one-time membership fee is just $10 and gets you exclusive access to the trails, shuttle schedule, operating hours, and special events. Membership is required to access Season Passes, Day Passes, and all riding opportunities at the park, but a one-time $10 fee ain’t bad.
