If You Could Pick Any Board, What Would It Be? (Poll)

If Santa Claus could leave one board under your tree, what would it be?

Now that the holidays are upon us, let's just say, that Santa is real and you are on the nice list. If you could pick any board to find under the tree on Christmas morning--what would you choose?

The only catch is that it can't just be a wall-hanger, it has to be something you actually want to ride. We've put together various polls below to help narrow it down and get an idea of what you're frothing about and why. If you think we're missing something out, or you want to be very specific about what you want, please sound off in the comments. Note: each poll is limited to 10 options so we did our best to give you options.

Surfboards are endlessly interesting because even though there are main template types, like those listed above, there's an endless variety of options within the types. You could have two boards of the same size and outline but made from different materials, or different shapers, or different fin configurations.

For those who are seriously obsessed, all these different options can lead to an infinite lust for new set ups. As we progress, or as we digress, we have different needs. Or as we travel, we find new waves that demand different equipment. As we discover new shapers, we develop a curiosity of just how their boards go. So what's it for you that gets you itchin'?

Reminder, there's no wrong answers here. Sometimes the best boards come from specific needs, sometimes they come out of the blue. I remember once going to Blackbird Surfboards, intent on ordering a longboard, and I walked out having just ordered a 5'6...not a 9'6 like I had planned. Ordering a custom board is one of the sweeter things in our little sport of surfing. I mean, in what other sport can you have a human being custom-make your sporting equipment to your exact specifications? Forget about it.

But, that doesn't mean you have to get a custom to be stoked. Some of the best board buys happen straight off the rack--or off the internet.

Ok now let's start to get into the specifics, who's making the boards you're dreaming about--is it a brand or an individual?

Of the top brands, who's got your eye?

Now for the shapers.

Lastly, what surfer(s) most influences you and how you want to surf?

Thanks for playing along. If you have any thoughts or comments, please let us know.
