Starring: Jai Glideman
Editor: Mikey Mallalieu
If Jai Glindeman isn’t on your radar, get your wires uncrossed. The 21-year-old from Lennox Head, New South Wales, surfs with a flow that is already comparable to the great stylists. But he can also put his board on rail with a precision, power and aggression that most will only strive for. And he packed one of the biggest and cleanest Cloudbreak days in recent memory. This is one to live in the bookmark bar.
Starring: Jack Robinson, Mason Ho, Noa Deane, Harry Bryant, Ian Crane, Clay Marzo, Victor Bernardo, Yago Dora and more.
Editor: Logan Dulien
Between the dozens of surfers and filmers, the credits for Snapt 5 take up too much space on this list. Just know that it features some of the best freesurfers in the world (plus the world champ!) unleashing A-grade clips they kept on ice for years for your viewing pleasure. It’s the longest film in this list by far, which some people love while others can’t stomach. Either way, it’s a striking mic drop by Logan Dulien, who says this is the final film of his iconic 25-year-old franchise.
“It’s good to approach every project like it’s the last because you never know when your last one is or when your last day is, for that matter,” Logan explained in this interview. “But after this, I can walk away from Snapt. I can’t tell anybody this is the best movie, but I know I’ve given this my best. And for me, that’s enough to be able to walk away with my head held high.”
Starring: Liam O’Brien
Editor: Darcy Ward
Even if you did watch Liam O’Brien over the past few years on the Championship Tour, you probably didn’t know he surfed like this. By this, I mean like a man possessed when swells start pulsing well over six feet. The guy has a certain fearless calculation about him, an ability to charge in a range of heavy waves and keep calm under pressure. Shipstern Bluff, Teahupo’o, Pipeline, LOB just goes all in, no matter the hand he’s dealt.

Starring: Tosh Tudor
Editor: Kalani Minihan
Sorry, Jonah Hill, Tosh Tudor is the true star here. The affable young goofyfoot from San Diego dropped his best work to date this summer, and it is a joy to watch. It’s a winning formula: great tunes set to a distinct style in spectacular and dangerous waves. It’s hard to quantify, but I’d wager few if any surfers got as barreled as Tosh in 2025. His solo curtain call at thundering Teahupo’o will live rent-free in our heads for years to come.

Starring: Griffin and Crosby Colapinto, Cole Houshmand, Hayden Rodgers and more.
Editor: Jacob Vanderwork
“It’s an opportunity for the industry to see he’s capable of making something incredible,” Griffin Colapinto said of this film’s guiding light, his longtime friend and filmer, Jacob Vanderwork. After years behind the lens on various projects, Jacob indeed built something incredible with Feels Like Yesterday. The surfing, cinematography and editing are top-notch. To cap it off, Griffin, Crosby and Cole surf out of their skin at roping Cloudbreak. Who do you think deserved the final wave? There was quite a debate on it…

Starring:Caity Simmers
Editor: Caity Simmers and Guilherme Martins
This clip is the oldest on this list, having dropped in January 2025. But what it lacks in timeliness it makes up for with pure style and flair. Featuring highlights from her maiden world title run the season prior, this is clearly Caity Simmers' best work so far in her young career. And that roundhouse still lives in my head rent-free (you know the one).
Starring: Russell Bierke
Editor: Andrew Kaineder
Does Russell Bierke actually feel fear? I didn’t think so, but he claims his heart is pumping like the rest of ours when he drops under ledges and lips that would leave most surfers squeamish. While not as frenetic and energized as his past videos, Inner Mechanics is a wonderful glimpse into the mind of one of the world’s best slab surfers.

Starring: Kael Walsh
Editor: Wade Carroll
Like many of the great surf talents from Western Australia, Kael Walsh keeps a low profile until you can’t help but take notice. From backflips to barrels, his surfing is simply undeniable. The guy could win an air contest and paddle into the wave of the day at Shipstern Bluff. And having Wade Carroll in your corner doesn’t hurt, either.
Starring: Matahi Drollet
Editor: Guy Mac
When Matahi Drollet impresses himself, you know something crazy went down. His drop-to-foamball-ride wasn’t just another deep Teahupo’o tube. It was one of the all-time improbable barrels you’ll ever see, in Tahiti or anywhere. Bonus points to Matahi for breaking it down frame by frame. A true scroll-stopper in what was a remarkably productive season for Teahupo’o’s crown prince.
Starring: Morocco’s renowned pointbreak, Safi
Editor: Will Bendix/Now Now Media
As surf storytelling goes, the South Africa-based team at Now Now Media separates itself with attention to detail and an eye for the bigger picture. Their expose on Safi, Morocco's coveted right that was a barreling gem hidden in plain sight for many years, is a spot-on example of the company's astute understanding of surf culture. They talked to the local legends, the guys who were first on the scene, underscored the moments that grew Safi's status and highlighted the dangers posed when heavy surf meets a heavy crowd. Watch this film to get a fresh tap of surf history.
